Shank to screen on National TV this month!
Posted on 9th July 2009 by Jill Hargreaves

Shank is set to air on the Community Channel this month as part of the 'Meet the Future' season, a month of programmes celebrating the talents and creativity of young people up and down the country.
Have a look at the Shank project page to see the trailer. The film was shot last year and deals with the consequences of knife crime. Samantha Ellington, content and acquisitions manager for the Community Channel, said: "Shank really stood out for us among a number of submissions tackling youth crime due to its outstanding production values.
"We were amazed to hear that a number of the young actors in the film have never performed before as they were so natural and believable. In many cases the scenes were improvised which really adds to the strength of the production. The fact that local young ex-offenders were enlisted to help create the film makes it an ideal addition to our 'Meet the Future' season of programmes."
