We are through to the final of the People's Millions and will be on ITV!

Today I attended a training session for our People's Millions bid for the Cystic Fibrosis Forum which we have now been informally told has been shortlisted as one of 6 projects from the North East going forward to a public vote!
We will be making a promotional film with ITV very soon, then it will be screened on the 24th November on ITV and go to the public vote...
I met the other project managers from across the region who were working with cross sections of the community on artistic and mentoring/befriending projects all of which seemed worthy opponents. The day was mostly about maximizing our chances for accruing votes from the public, a kind of Community's Got Talent if you will, and was split into an overview of the process and interview techniques on camera.
I would like to say I had an unfair advantage on this front but unfortunately after two years at Engage Media I am still as comfortable on camera as a pony is in a tap-dancing competition! Anyway we got to meet Alasdair and Helen the team from Tyne Tees who would be conducting our filming and they assured us all that they would be on hand to make sure our shoots ran smoothly.
Our piece will be shown on 24th November on Tyne Tees local news - don't forget to tune in and vote!
